Title: After the Bath (nudity)
Name: Shraga Weiss
Country: United States
Software: Photoshop, XSI, ZBrush

Hi,
for this model the composition is based on one of my favorite William bouguereau paintings.. It shows a woman taking a thorn out of her foot after bathing. For a change of pace I decided I didn't want to copy the painting but rather interpret it into a sculpture. I deliberately changed her to have more ""scolpturesque" features and porpotions.

C&C welcome :)

Very nice work. In particular I enjoy your use of the classics from Art History for the study of your own contemporary tools. Rather than pick this render apart for small faults I must say that overall it has a feeling of grace and beauty not commonly seen in today's cg world.

I agree, very beautiful! It seems the rock suggests a basic human form, which is interesting too (unless I'm imagining it).

Authentic digital sculpture with warm sensation. I know it's stone but all the pose is soft and give pace to the viewer, for me it's not a cold stone statue but a sweet warm one. Sorry about my english. 5 stars from me.

Hey Shraga!

Great modeling! Love your work.

I know it's hard to turn 2D into 3D...And especially into a Marble Sculpture!

Awesome work!

Take care!
