I tried to do some texture painting with Deep Paint, but the program is a pain in the ass to us. We dont get it at al.

Does somebody know how to work with program, Or where we can find some good starting tutorials...?

Thanx,

Unfortunately there is not much information regarding techniques in Deep Paint 3D available, however I personally found it all pretty simple to figure out

I am busy writing a book on texturing, and I am including some tutorials for Deep Paint 3D, as Right Hemisphere were pretty keen for some tutorials to be written for it (so they do care, which is a good thing :D).

In the meantime, just use the little cards that come with the software they show you all the shortcut keys, and see if you can figure out the program from that (that's what I did).

um, zbrush's texturemaster seems to produce good texturing results, then there's photoshop.....

I'm no texturer, never tried out texturemaster, so I'm not sure if it works in the demo, and if it works, I'm not sure if it will let you export all that stuff...

I did a project with deep paint and a project with body paint.. to see if they were worth using.
Maybe I didnt give them enough time to grow on me, but I found that it was just less hassle to use painter or photoshop and to do my maps the good old fashioned way.
I dont think I really saved much time with either deep paint or body paint.
ehh.. but like I said, maybe I didnt give it long enough to grow on me.

I've used 3D paint for quick roughing-out of a texture. Much easier to paint on the model than alt-tabbing between modeler and painter.

I 've also used it to fix seams, or to project texture across a seam. Very useful. Projection paint is amazing. Not available in Body Paint 3D.

Some tutorials I've found...

The DP3D manual has tutorials in it. Tried those?

Don't forget that when you register your software, you also register as a user on their forums - so if you are having problems, post a message there :)
The forum is moderated by a couple of their programmers, so you should find answers pretty easily :)
