LW 9.5
Messiah Studio Proffessional 3.0a 32 bit
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit

Connection works great !

Somewhere during development LW changed the way it interacts with Messiah plugin. I think it was during the 9.x cycle. After adding messiahLW.p you had to add messiah:master plugin in the master plugins panel ( ctrl+q ). It stil works that way. I know that 2.5c worked that way too and your 7.5 is not designed to work like this so it must be your version of LW that is the problem.

What!? You run Messiah 3 32 bit on Vista 64? And they want you to buy an addon for $149 to run it on 64 bit machines. My M3 doesn´t work on the 64 bit machine though...yet...

No, they don't want you to by 64bit messiah to run it on 64bit OS. 32bit messiah has always worked and it works on 64bit OS. You should only buy 64bit messiah if you need lot's of RAM (more than 4GB) for rendering your memory hungry projects.

Hmmmm...weird, ´cos when I doubleclick the M3 icon it I get the splash screen, but then nothing. It won´t start. I have Vista 64 and 4 gig memory.

It doesn't seem you put some effort into making it work. Try harder. :)
It might be graphic drivers, it might be you need to install SP1, at what point does it stop during splash screen (there is text in the bottom)

Initializing interface... *dive*. I also have an nVidia geeforce 8800 GT. Screen resolution 1680 * 1050. Lower looks crappy as hell. Bought this comp last friday so it should be up to date.

You have to upgrade the dongle on the 32 bit system, then pull out the dongle and then put it on the 64bit machine and then run messiah. It is weird but that is it! The dongle update is a firmware update inside the dongle and that works under 32 bit.

Ulven helped me doing that, and now messiah works on my 64 bit!

When you send the code to pmg it will take some days before you get the proper feedback and a new code to update the dongle, for me it took about 5-7 days I think.

Yours PAL :wip:

Cranking back the hardware acceleration sorted this for me.

Sorry for being such a noob. Where did you do that? Got a screenshot?

Wow, I wasn't ready to to it. I was looking at changing my core app but since it was only $400.00 I upgraded from Lightwave 7.5 to Lightwave 9.3. Worked like a charm. :hmm: Seems that Vista, Lightwave 7x and Messiah aren't friendly with each other but fork out the doe for something newer and they become friends again. Sigh! Win2000 was my best friend for the longest. Me and Vista now have a love-hate relationship.
