Title: ARCVS matte painting
Name: Ismail Kemal Ciftcioglu
Country: Turkey
Software: Maya, Photoshop, Vue

This is the latest matte painting for my personal portfolio. This is a fictional city which has Roman and ancient Egyptian influence. Arcus means archway in latin (pls correct me if I'm wrong)

The overall story is; there is a an ancient structure looks like a collosal bridge. It's unknown that who built it and who lived in it. But this bridge was a city itself, with narrow corridors, archways. But it's ancient and now deserted. A new civilization built their cities near this bridge structure and also discovered it's ancient halls. Maybe they use it for food and weapon stock, or maybe homeless use it for shelter. Anyway this is the overall atmosphere I created in this painting. Any c&c are welcome, I hope you like it..

P.S.: Thanks to my beautiful girlfriend for lift idea. Yeah I really wouldn't walk all the way to the top of the city really:)
