View Full Version : scene: Millet's gleaners
maxmare 05-15-2003, 12:31 PM This is an image I did in December 02 for a contest. It was the first non architectural render I've ever done. As it is my first step into the 3d canvas I know it isn't even close to other images people post here, but I'll probably recompose it at the end of the year so c&C are more than wellcome.
Cheers.

i like it. Its nice to see someone choose different topics for their images than cars or robots or semi-nude females.
I think the image has a nice feel to it, nice atmosphere, but maybe the actual style of it looks a bit too CG. Maybe try too soften in up a bit. But very nice.
I love your avatar by the way. Viv le WATCHMEN

Good start on the composition. I see you have refined Millet's piece somewhat to make it more an expression of your own. I think there should be more detail in the horizon and I personally would remove the tree on the left as it doen't work with the concept of the wheat field. The textures need improvement. A truly good start on one of my favorite works.

Well done!
The background the lighting and the sky needs some changes.
Is this a kind of "Breugel" inspiration?
Keep on!
