View Full Version : Short Animation clip (WIP) *Guidiance needed!*

Hi guys I'm still new to animation, and i've been learning alot in school and by myself.
Im doing a very simple project and would really REALLY appreciate your comments and feedback!
I will be posting my progress in realtime, so i would really love it if you pro's out there can guide me along!

Any way here's the blocking of the 1st part of the scene:

Just the confirm poses and very rough timing.
*The brown object on the floor represents the cockroach

Here whats going on in this first part:
The chracter (a packet drink) Jumps into the scene and poses very proudfully. Then a cockroach enters the sene, the character looks down for a second then goes in for a closer look at the cockroach.

Here are my questions,
Are the poses clear and readable? DO they look pleasing and correctly balanced?
Is the timing OK?

Hi Guys/Gals!

Finished the timing pass of the clip.

This is just the rough timing of the chracter.
Also added the basic arcs, confirmed the poses, and I've also added some minor offsetting.

Things left are:
anticipations, follow thrus, overshoots and a whole lot of polishing.

Things that I dont like:
When the chracter jumps into the scene, i dont like how it crouches, seems preety wrong.
What do you think about this? Is it noticeable?

Need feedback!
Is the story so far, understandable?
Is there any really distracting or unnatural actions?
Is the chracter's peronality properly portraid?
