Hello, here is my first attempt at animation, the basic bouncing ball.
Please let me know what you think.

Hmm your video is not converted yet...
Let me know when I can watch it :)

It looks nice and fluid I think.
But it seems that the ball is loosing its speed at the first jump like itīs being pulled down manually.
Can you let the ball be more deformed like becoming flat and going back to its original shape?
With which program have you animated this?

Do you think the resting time at the top
of the first jump is too long?
It's done with Maya.

Iīm not an animator, but yes, the resting time for the first jump seems to be a bit too long.
It looks like the ball lost its acceleration and original jumping vector.
By the way, is it common to start with a jumping ball at the beginning of animation?

I couldn't make the first jump longer...it always looked bad to me,
so I tried to accelarate the whole animation 1/1/3 an I think
it looks much better, making the first one look like slowmotion!

There's a tiny motion blur glitch at the beginnin, sorry about that.
C&C are welcome.

//EDIT:
Here's a guy jumping i tried...please critique

Hmm the bouncing ball looks better now but to your jumping man...
In the last seconds of his jump he seems to be beamed down a bit. (make his landing more fluid looking)
Maybe itīs because of the recording.
The video is good at the beginning but loosing quality at the end. Not enough frames? Too abrupt ending?

Got a small task for you. :lightbulb
Could you make him land, with only one foot touching the ground, on the border of the right side and let him slip so that he will fall into the hole in the middle or out of the picture?

I tried...here :) (http://vimeo.com/969544)
I know it's not all right, as the other one.
This is just a rough blocking, using 14 poses with interpolation,
and it's my second animation ever, the first one was the ball...so don't
expect a masterpiece...

Nice one.
That was definitely what I imagined.
Maybe you should play a bit around more.
Exaggerate a lot and make your scenes look interesting.
