View Full Version : modelling: Troubles with Vertex Weighting

Hi all,
I'm trying to skin a character of mine, and I've given the mesh a skin modifier, adjusted envelopes, etc, etc...
The envelopes weren't quite what I wanted, so I weighted a few more verticies outside the verticies affected by the envelopes.

No probs.

Now, when I go to copy that envelope to the other side of the model, It only copies the envelope and it's vertices, not the extra ones I weighted, even though the 'extra' vertices highlight when I select that particular envelope.

Is there a way to copy these extra weighted vertices to the other leg? I don't fancy weighting the other side all over again, cause matching the folds etc, would be a nightmare...

Thanks in advance, people!
:hmm:

I've never found a way to copy all skin properties to the other side :-( We really need a symetry function in skin !! Let us know if you find something interesting.

Haven't I seen scripts that promises to do this?

Check out scriptspot (http://www.scriptspot.com).. see if you can't find something interesting.
