Hi everyone,

Nice to meet you all. My name is chiiku, and I'm currently working on becoming a bartender. =) And.. I wanna be a physician assistant. Anyway.. I've been out of the painting game for quite some time, and eager to jump back in. I've been so inspired by the unbelievable amount of utter coolness in these threads, especially the WIP/crit section where I've been lurking for a while. I think it's time I enlisted you guys' help.

Here's a cropped WIP of mine done in CS2, the hair's just been blocked in for now. I'm having a classic case of been-staring-at-it-too-long but I *know* something is wonky with their faces, particularly, the eyes. And her hand is completely jacked. I wonder if I should just repaint it altogether? Any kind of C&C would be appreciated. Thanks in advance~

Looks good to me, maybe the girls eyes are slightly too big, but that's really the only thing I can see that you might need to take a look at. Nice skills.

Hey! This looks awesome, you have a really fresh style that I rather like. :]

The faces look great to me, although it's perhaps a little unnatural how his face disappears into her hair, but maybe that's just me. My only crit is on her hand - the shading and form are great, but I think the problem is that the thumb is on the wrong side. If it's her right arm, the arm closest to the viewer, then you have her hand reversed. If it's her left hand, then it's just an arm with eight joints or something - unless maybe that's what you were going for. XD

Anyway, it looks really great! I can't wait to see more!

EDIT: I figured out what bugged me about his face in her hair. It's that his chin and lips are partially covered by hair, but his nose is completely free. I feel like the tip of his nose should be buried, too.

wow great peice. the part i liked the most is the eyes. you can almost feel a story behind the characters.
