In character studio 'copied postures' there is a drop-down list for each stored pose copied. which is renameable in the actual drop down.

Is this form of dropdownlist which allows you to rename the content within the list createable within maxscript as it's not a standard dropdown.

It's not possible by default. What you have to do is a bit of trickery through an overlayed text entry box that's precariously overlapping the drop down. I have a combo box which has a search field.

Same principle but be warned it only works perfectly about 90% of the time. It can be improved marginally from there based on the situation... and clever enable/disable toggling to ensure the draw order is correct.

The other option is to find a .net control, but then it's going to be largely undocumented.
