If you're curious about how they are doing financially you can peruse the transcript of their Q1 earnings conference call with financial analysts (http://seekingalpha.com/article/74706-dreamworks-animation-skg-q1-2008-earnings-call-transcript?source=yahoo).
some things I noted:
-"Bee movie" looks to be a break-even affair eventually.
-they only get about $2.50 from each DVD sold
-getting theaters to install 3D capable equipment is not going as fast as they hoped.
-The Shrek musical is not expected to become a significant source of income.
-Financial analysts ask pretty boring questions. I wonder when the artistic analysts conference call will be?
But none-the less DWA has improved its profits from last year.
