I was wondering if anyone knew of a good way to create cities in C4D in a fairly intuitiive and detailed way.

I have messed with CityGen and its not supported under v10.

any pointers?

CityGen works fine under 10, just tested it. Maybe it is 10.5 which I don't have.

citygen doesnt function in R10? doh.

I build tens and tens of blocks of Helsinki in couple of day by getting images from google earth and using those as reference. I set up the height somewhat right (had to go out and count stories of houses to get them right), and built a road with splines. I got the landscape heigth somewhat right also with help from google earth and painting a plane with soft selection and projected houses and roads on it.

Not as easy as citygen and but that's the "3D from the real world":)

Only a non UB version exists for Mac users, so it won't work with R10. If you have R9, you can use CityGen to create your model and then export to R10 to finalize your scene.

Cool Thanks for the replies gang.

I am hoping to use the french archi generator for specific buildings. I really just need to run CityGen under v9 I guess.

cheers yo,
