Hi guys,


I'm pretty new with the digital painting thing, but it's certainly something i would like to do more of. Here is my first attempt with a graphire tablet that has its limitations, but so far it's mostly me that is to blame for the scene. I would really like some pointers on the light and depth of field / perspective. I don't dare yet to touch the color, but coming soon...

Wow. Nice work!!! I would never have the patience to paint such a big scene! I think the lighting tooks quite accurate thus far. maybe the building on the right could get a little darker as it goes off the screen. And maybe the shadows of the camel and cart could skew a bit more in the direction of being behind them... Also, maybe make the sand a little less textured, desert sand is quite fine! It looks like tatooine, haha, I love it. I'm also in awe of that smoke!

Nice work on that smoke! something is wrong or confusing in the two front legs of the camel. Great work! :D
