View Full Version : Displace deformer and Spline Wrap

Hi
I have cylinders that shall travel along a spline using Spline Wrap. However I like to deform that same spline with a Displace deformer while the cylinders travels along. It works to displace the spline with the "normal" deformers like Flag and Twist but not with the Mograph ones.
It is probably something I have missed totally regarding the order in how MoGraph calculates this but now I have spent hours on this problem trying different setups and would be grateful for some help..

Works fine for me, http://www.graphite9.com/displaceDeformer.c4d
The deformer has a noise shader loaded with the animation enabled so it will animate when you click play.

Hi, deforming the spline is not the problem, it's when you add the spline wrap deformer to use the animated deformed spline.

Ah yes, sorry , I get what you mean now. It seems like a priority issue or something like that, the spline wrap only sees the initial state of the spline and doesn't change. I tried a similar setup using the free Spline Noise Deformer plugin and it works fine, not quite as much control as a mograph effector, but it might get you by?
