But really I am looking for work I love art and 3D I have been into 3d for the last 7 years or so learning on my own and going to school in fine art and computer animation. Now I need an oportunity to prove how much I love it and want to dedicate my life to the industry. I have been doing graphic design work at my current company for 2 years now allmost and working on my portfolio but it's hard working full time and still having the energy to keep going after work, so now the #1 thing on my mind is getting people to notice me and work harder then ever in imporving my chances of getting a real computer animation job within the industry. Thanks a lot everyone for taking the time to view my site.

Bart

i watched your demoreel and it isn't all that bad, i wanted to post some critiques here -

the 'watermelon' character, whenever he picks up the watermelon his hands seem to move around on it too much, they don't seem 'locked' down..... your models are nice, but try more bump/specular lighting, and more interesting light schemes in general - but most importantly - i would say to have more models...what kind of position are you looking for? videogame modeler? or a texture artist? whatever it is, if it's in the game industry you should have atleast 1 low-poly character ... . .

i'm not trying to be an ass or anything so please don't think that :) but the industry is extremely competitive (just look at the talent on this site alone!) but as long as u keep perfecting your craft and trying to learn more and do more you'll find a job,

good luck :wip:

Thanks edaddy, really apprechiate you taking the time to look at some of my stuff, I'm actually working on a new project right now and I made it a bit more complicated, in respect to lighting, and texturing it's going pretty nice I'll post a picture tomorrow to show you I did a couple of shots for my new demo reel and now I feel like finished the other shots so I'm about to start them.

I'm looking to get into film more then games but any experience is a wonderfull thing (hehe wonderfull ugh) anyway ya from games what I'm noticing is that more and more companies now are getting away from even cut scenes (which is what I would like to do) I see more and more games going real time rendering and the animation or rendering there isn't at a good point yet. i'm going to be trying a new shot also more towards special effects to get something on my reel that's composited so I'm looking forward to that as well. Ugh I feel like I'm rumbling on and on anyway I'll post a picture here tomorrow of the couple new shots that I have. Thanks for the review.
