how do you animate visibility...now..ive given my object a 'display tag' in the hope that i can give this tag a 'visibliity track' in the timeline.....
this worked once but hasnt worked since....the tag just doesnt appear in the the timeline?..what am i doing wrong?
any help would be appreciated..cheers

drag the tag, onto the timeline, or simply right click and select show in timeline

Or you can R-Click on "Visibility" in the AM, set a keyframe, and the track will appear in the Timeline.

hi..thanks a lot:)
ive tried both methods and neither seem to work..when i drag the display tag into the timeline..the rest of the tracks in the timeline vanish and are replaced by just the display tag track..on its own and the 'lock' symbol in the timeline at the top closes...when i then open this lock icon..the other tracks appear again and the display tag track vanishes...is this normal?..why cant i see the display tag track at the same time as the other tracks..?..
i tried the second method...right clicked (well...im on mac so i did the equivalent) on the visibility text in the AM..then went to 'animation'..then 'add track'...now in the timeline..i get a sort of pink stripe in th timeline scale..but no track in the timeline itself....whats going on:insane:  :argh:
again..thanks for your time:)

Hi What you are dealing with comes in handy but can be confusing at first.
*Manual mode is when the lock is locked and automatic is when it is unlocked.
When the lock is locked go to edit (in the timeline) > show all animated. if the lock is unlocked go to filter (in the timeling) > show animated objects. This will fix it in what ever mode you are in. HTH
