Here comes the brand new trailer for the new German movie "Cold Storage".

Itīs a little action / horror / Sci-Fi tale about a group of people who need to go down into some old German bunkers where they explore a terrifying secret. The trailer is produced by Starcrest Media in association with Magna Mana Production GmbH. Post production by Magna Mana Production GmbH and Solid Ground Entertainment GmbH. It is filmed with our brand new Red One 4K camera.

So, here is our trailer in small HD resolution as quicktime or windowsMedia9 HD. I hope you enjoy it.

I had the pleasure to contribute some digital matte paintings for the trailer. Most of them were set extension, but there was also a big establishing shot of the bunker inside the cavern. 3D Modeler Sebastian Schminke made a basic model of the bunker which was rendered gray shaded to give me a basic reference for the shot. Then I textured the 2D Picture and added light sources, shaddows and painted a lot of details like the damage and the rods.

Mark Dauth did the digital Compositing of all the Matte/Live action with Eyeon Fusion 5, while 3D artist Thomas Klieber made all Explosion and Particle stuff using 3D Max and Thinking Particles. As they didn't had weapons with blanks on set, we also had to add 3D bullet shells and fire muzzles.

For evryone who's intersted in sound, I also had the job to add music and sound FX to the trailer, which was quite a nice task for itself. I did all music composing and sound FX in Nuendo in my studio at Solid Ground Entertainment http://www.solid-ground-entertainment.com (http://www.solid-ground-entertainment.com/). The score was written and performed using allmost entirely East West Synphonic Orchestra, Synphonic Choir, Colossus and Stormdrum.

Finally it was great fun and We're looking forward working on the final movie.

Your comments are welcome.

Best regards,
Jack Moik
