View Full Version : Animating object paramaters by distance

Hello,

I'm not sure where to begin but i was wondering how to go about animating a modifier of multiple objects via distance. So for example if i wanted to animate a melt modifier from 0 to 100 of x number of objects but progresivly from one area in space to another. So that the property im animating is moving forward in sapce

IS this making sense? Any ideas?

Were you thinking of something like this? You can check out the expression on the melt amount's track.

Unfortunatly I still have Max 8 so I can't open up the max document.

Can anyone help me out so I can see it in Max 8?

I don't have MAX 8, so here's a quick screen capture of what's in the file. The closer the black wired spheres get to the white one, they melt more. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're after.
