did you set "generate gi" on your objects properties/mentalray ?
You should also add a low skylight to simulate the sky.

GI needs to be enabled firstly, then the send and recieve GI needs to be on in the materials for the objects. then either increase the samples, or the amount of send and recieve GI on the interior material, this should bring more light in.

Thanks for ur help.
now i am trying again .
i am sure i checked the objects to receive and generate.
here is the effect i want,i mean the room is more lighter
and i want to know is it nessassery to add the volumelight if i want to make the room lighter and it makes me confusion,at first ,i just think about that in GI ,when one object receive light,it can generate light to another object, but the pic above let me down.
i tried another scenes,GI is ok.but when the scenes has a light go though some small windows ,the room in it is still dark.(i usually use the default setting )

Maybe you should increase the "Ambient Multiplier".
