View Full Version : Object: Lord of the RenderRings !!
LeeGriggs 05-14-2003, 10:03 AM apologies in advance if this comes across that I am insinuating that 'I' am the Lord of the RenderRings(I wish I was), but in fact I am referring to my PURE render card which does in fact have an ace renderer! :applause:

overwhelming :applause:
personally i think the DOF in the back is too strong... maybee soften that and than this would be THE image!
plz post or link to a greater one (e.g. 1024x768) for desktop background application?

yeah, I agree with zeromancer, the dof is a bit too heavy.
But I like the idea and would like to see more renders with this 'PURE' render you speak of. Got any more links to anymore images rendered with it?

thanks for the crits guys, I will reduce the dof and re-render. Sorry Ive never had good quality dof in a render before and so I guess I got carried away with it.
www.art-render.com are the guys that make the boards.
I shall post a higher-res version soon.
:)
Very nice, realistic, but the dof effect it,s too much

waaayy too much DOF...also the comparison in size from ring to wooden boards makes the ring look huge. Sorry if that is how its meant to look :P

yes, thankyou. I think we have definitely established that this image has too much depth of field, but hey c'mon if there is anyone else out there who wants to tell me, by all means do so - Im all ears

Well, I can't decide if I would prefer the gold material to be more smooth. The current material is very realistic and looks exceptional, but you might want to try and make it look "cleaner" and see if you like it more.
