View Full Version : Powerslider Why can't I select keys!?

This has puzzled me for a long while now....
In the Powerslider I can see the keys for selected object (like blue squares).
Sometimes, but not everytime, I can select that key in the PS and move or delete it.
But every to often, even if the object is selected in OM and I can see the key, for the
life of me, I can't select it (so it becomes yellow) for movement.

So basically, what has to be fulfilled so it is selectable.
I've tried to minimize the PreView range to make the key "bigger" but it doesn't
seem to help most of the times.

I've had the same issue, and never really understood it

I usually just click a bit to the left of the key and drag right over the key I want - it usually works, but I'd love to understand why simply clicking on a key I can see doesn't select it

Yep, sometimes doing that helps. And sometimes "dragging over it" and adding some
sort of "gray area" and then moving the grey area works.
But, I can't get the "flow" of it......

The "grey area" is the selection range. You can also generate the range by holding down shift when you click and drag, the range allows you to move, scale, and do a whole load more things to the keys (it's all covered in the help docs). If you can't select a key by the normal means then that is probably a bug and you should send the file to Maxon.

I've also had this problem on and off. It seems like the "hot spot" for the key is sometimes too small. I usually have the most trouble if the timeline is more than, say, 90 frames.

What I'd like to be able to do is shift-click on multiple keys instead of having to "drag" across a range. Even better would be to shift-click non-contiguous keys. ie: key 1, 3, 4 7.

Ah, I tend to believe that might be the case. Next scene it happens goes to Maxon then.
