not only did i want to come out with my own interpretation of the bulky space marine from the w40k universum ,
but i also , wanted to create a different look for my 3d object .
done in partially in maya .. and finished in xsi

Fantastic render, reminds me of the thick thin technique we use for Technical Illustrations. The thin lines almost bleach out with the starkness of the white but still brilliant to see something away from the usual.
My only crit is the shoes / boots (?) look wrong, I know you said it was your own interpretation of a space marine but the rest looks very accurate except them ?
The shaded one is great too. Are you going to texture it up and do a coloured render ?
