hello,
Thanks for the response to my previous post about 3-point lighting in Vray, which I figured out with help from you guys... now onto the problems...
I'm using Irradiance map as my primary GI, and QMC as my secondary. I've followed instructions from all tutorials on the net that I could get my hands on - Tried Add to incremental map as well as multiframe incremental and generated ALL frames of the irradiance map. Now, when I load and use the irradiance map in my scene, I get unsightly patches, and everything looks really bad. I havent changed the camera or lighting setup, but yet I get this... I'm using a skin shader downloaded off Vray-materials.de, but all objects with standard or vray materials give me these patches... Any thoughts?
I'm using Vray 1.5RC3 for Max 9.

thanks

I forgot to add that my camera is static in my scene...

have you tried the "animation (prepass)" under the irradiance map? The baking process using Incremental add to current map / Multiframe incremental is dedicated for scene which has all objects remain static but the only moving is the camera itself. So perhaps that's why you get patches for your animated character.
