I just saw your reel on the front page of 3dtotal the other day and checked it out... it is absolutely fantastic, great work! This is front page material man... My favourite are the sport shots, really cool, and also that film, Dragon Hunters was it?, looks pretty interesting :)

beautiful fluids! all of them are maya fluids? they are very volumetrics! are you use some plug like overburn or something for those smoke shaders? excelent work, how are you break the sport word? oh so much asking to do! sorry, I like everything! congrats!

i use the Maya Fluid effects for all the smoke effects and Ncloth to break objects.
the volley ball shot is a fluid effects converted in polygon with a raytrace material.(the splash is a stockshot).

Your level of talent is very inspiring and very exciting to watch. The whole demo reel looked great. The effects you incorporated into the Sports theme was very entertaining. You could probably do some 3D animation/VFX for Nike as they would be impressed with that.

The dark and futuristic scenes were my favorite, you really captured my attention. The camera movements as well as the animation was very smooth. Also, the lighting and modeling was top notch.

hi, you said you used ncloth for the breaking of things,... so did you solid crack it to like 1000 pieces and then just add ncloth nodes to all of them and make them rigid and just radial field them away?... that must be sooo heavy, do you have any workflow tips or trix ? :D

Wounderful effects man, the maya fluid smoke is super great looking, I know how hard it is to make it look good... and for the simulation time on those fluids must be cracy high too, bcuz of the resolution, how high res do you use in general?... how fast are the processors you use for the simulation? I would be super thrilled if you would answer my questions :D
