Nice, very nice. Please consider making it dirty, would be a welcome change from showroom perfect.
Bouncing mini = brilliant.

I would have modelled the next MR-2 after that one, looks like a mini-ferrari:)

The Kosei K-1 Racing mags are preety accurate... although since your work is so perfect ill have to complain about one thing, the base of the spokes is a lot thinner then what you have shown
(I worked at a mag\tire place saw millions of those rims).
Gr8 job modelling anyways!

a little update:
worked on the back end a bit and started on the roof. also fixed alot of proportion issues with some of the trim features. still have some tweaking to do on the sides and on the side skirts, but nothing major.

looking pretty good...although i cant quite remember what they look like :D
kick ass....looks great...when its done....just give it some dents and shit then rustit up with holes and it will be a perfect replica
oh and dont forget to add a huge can taped to the exhaust pipe thats held up by a coat hanger....ghetto style
Capn_Panic, are you working from blueprints for this? Only asking because I've seen a few of these before but the angle of the bonnet on yours doesn't look 'raked' enough? Maybe it's just a camera angle thing?
Also, I take it you haven't started on the rear air intake yet? :)
But keep going with it. I actually like the old MR2. They are a better car than the unbalanced Mk-II MR2. I've always fancied modeling a Fiat X1-9 which is the spiritual father of this car (where Toyota got the idea for a rear engined but front wheel driven two seater)

Bliz: started with blueprints to rough out teh shape and modeled the rest from photos. yeah i havn't bothered with the side vent yet, mainly because teh car is not symmetrical, as its got the gas cap door on the drivers side and the engine vent on the passenger side, so i'll leave those until i'm happy with the overall shape and can collapse the modifier stack (symmetry modifer mainly).
is the fiat x1-9 a rear engine front wheel driven car? cause all the mr2's are mid-engine, rear-wheel drive cars.

I never liked that car. Your mesh seems very acurate, however. Though, I got the impression that the roof of the original is a bit lower. I just don't know how to put it. ;)

cerialKiller: you might be right, not sure... here's a pic of a mk1 mr2 from the side (although it is not an 89)
