Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese soccer player playing for my favorite team the Manchester United. It was modeled in 3ds max/zbrush, rendered with mental ray, textures painted in photoshop and the hair was done with max's hair&fur.

OK...spamming aside this is a nice model.I recognised him right away.
but there is somethign that makes his face look a bit rigid and i can't really put my finger on what is that....Maybe his mandible should be a bit more refined? Maybe he needs a stronger specular map?I can't really tell...

overall i like it :)

I feel that the eyes are a little far apart, just a little...
and maybe the chest should be bigger a little..
in this image, his chest don't make up for his broad neck and shoulders..

other than that, it's a nice model :)
maybe you can try the above suggestion about the photo composite, it'll be a good practice to match the photo's lighting

great subject! the best player in the world at the moment!

its an excellent attempt. great likeness in the face but as mentioned, a little rigid and something doesnt look quite right.

for me though, its all about the physique. Ronaldo is 6ft 2" and has an awesome physique. you may want to broaden his shoulders and concentrate on accentuating his muscles more. his thighs are also too thin. Ronaldo wouldnt be able to slot 30 yard free kicks in the top corner with legs like that!

finally i think the overall composition is a little too saturated, maybe try and balance it out in photoshop afterwards.

nice stuff though!
