RubixCube V2

The researches that I have done so far, showed that animating a Rubikís cube is a complex task, and a time consuming process.
No rig that I have seen has showed yet to be fully functional, easy to use, and gave the possibility to animate the cube in every possible way.

Using Mel scripting in Maya, I created a very light, fully functional Rubikís cube rig, that made the task fun, limits free, very easy and intuitive.

Since a long time, almost a year, has passed since I created that tool; I decided to release it for free for NON COMMERCIAL USE.

RubixCube is a mel based rig, used for the animation of a Rubikís cube. The resulting cube is fully functional, with an easy-to-use graphical interface. Any kind of animation, such as translating, rotating, or scaling the whole cube as an entity, is possible; as well as the usual Rubikís cube real life movements.

This script is tested and is working with maya 8.5 and newer versions. It should also work with previous versions.
This script is tested and is working under 'Windows Vista', 'Windows XP' and 'Linux Gentoo'. It should also work under other OSs.

If you encounter any problems, or for any improved versions (such as the ability to use multiple Rubik's cubes in one scene, or the compatibility with AutoKey) or any other options or requests please donít hesitate to contact me.

I hope this will be useful and helpful for you.

For any help or support, please donít hesitate to contact me.
