View Full Version : EXR pass from Renderman for Maya viewed incorrectly in Photoshop?

Hi, Cgers,

I've been having this issue for a while. Here I have three renders coming out from Renderman for maya, but I can't get them viewed correctly in Photoshop CS3. (I uploaded the EXRs on RapidShare as a zip file)

Here is the comparison in Nuke 4.7 v3. The beauty render looks the same as Ci pass (output color). I wouldn't care the diffuse pass looks all black too much because it is correct in renders of other scenes.

Then I load the EXRs into Photoshop CS3 with ProEXR 1.2 plug-in. The color swapped? Actually in all passes (ambient, reflection......), as long as it's not only black and white, the color swapped. This problem happened on renders of my other scenes as well.

I also tried to load the EXRs with Photoshop CS3's default openexr.8BI activated. And here is what I got.

When set up the passes in Renderman for Maya, I left everything as default, just switching the file format to EXR. No compression type and what not.

Could anyone get me out of the swamp? I really want to bring my pipeline into full EXR and be able to comp and tweak 32-bit renders among Nuke, AE, and PS. Thanks! :thumbsup:
