I have tried to visualize my concept.
Roughtly modeled and textured some elements and did some quick composition to show the direction i am going for.

The blocked out scene and merged the shot with the concept collage/painting in the background ... i am arranging elements for now and try to find a better solution to combine the fore with background set.
Black figures are got3d.com lowpolys i used as proxies to show the dimensions
of the set.

Just got a few hours of sparetime this weekend ... i posed the female alien (update will come) and modeled the human male head. Basemesh is a modified lowpoly base head (remodeled with mouth open) from my DW3 model.

Both posed ... he is modeled out of two parts and i hope the seam on his neck will be not that visible in the final. Of course a lot of postwork will go in it (painting small details , color correction).
I need to work a littlebit more on her head because the details will get lost in the final.
Thank you all for the support. :)

Model of the Alien Invader head .... modeled out of a zbrush 3d sphere ... i will retopo him in c4d later when i have time in the end or just use it as it is.
Need to hurry up.
Thank you Neo-x i just model whats visible to the viewer, to save time so its more of a craftmanship.

I had not much time this weekend :(
Just made a small comp test while working on the background a littlebit more.
I am working with serveral rendered Layers comped together because for the background i got a fov of 25 and the foreground got a fov of 50. With this setup i could archive the depth i would like to get for the background and render the foreground without disortion.
I think the next few nights will be very long. ôO

I will call this final now.
A shame that i could not finish
the guards in the fore- and background.
But i hope you like it even if they are not there.
I wish i had more time but deadline is near and our doughter also want to see his father.
Good luck to all entrants ... i've really enjoyed looking and follow all these great work in process.

Hello,
Your skill in modelling is impressive. I love that pose of the couple. I think her left hand could be more relaxed, but that's just detail. These are great characters and you should be proud
Congrats!
A VERY GOOD FINAL! the expressions on the characters still impress me a lot!:wavey:
Sorry you couldn't finish everything in your composition but it's still a great image nonetheless. Nice job!

You can be happy with this one :) Fine piece.
It is a true shame that u had to sacrifice something! the alien creature for example.
You have material to do a shot comic.I take more time to look at your image..and i appreciated a certain "1800 retrofuture" look. It must be very cool making a comic...damn... some ideas on my mind!! you got some gold in ur hands...hope to see more about this image (any kind of evolution of it.....UPLIFT???he he he)
