Well after watching Jason X two nights ago I was like my gawd, this was just your typical Hack n' Slash flick, no point to it just killing. With that notion I thought about Freddy, and how cool it would be too see the two legends go at it for one final clash. And low and behold they have a movie coming! Incredible I should be a producer

Looks entertaining, Freddy was always my favorite slasher. And now with CG hooo weeee should be fun.

Enough babble here's the link

Another Gremlins movie would be amazing ... wow ... that really would be cool =) But in all honesty, I have a hard time finding hope for Freddy v. Jason. House of a Thousand Corpses was supposed to be a "return to the classics" of slasher films, but from all accounts I'm hearing that it sucks horribly. I dunno, we'll see how this one turns out.

Peace,

Damn this Jason is still not dead after 10 movies. :banghead:
When I see the cast (Kelly Rowland), I would almost bet for a rating PG-13, so all the kiddies can go there and see a reeeeeeaaaaaalllllly scaaaaaary movie…. :argh:

I must say this type of horror/thriller is very very passe' . This is the age for "Sixth Sense" "The Ring" "The Others" just really creepy tales. Hack n' Slash are just boring now, I think they litterally thought of everyone possible grim scenerio someone can die! Final Destination 1/2 anyone?

OMG, I grew up on this shit. Even though thay got WAY out of hand with them, I have to say that the first 5 Friday the 13th's were good. After that it just became a tradition to see them all. I definatley will check this one out anf I'm glad they've finally did it!

Feh. I nominate this for "Worst.movie.ever"...

Much BETTER crossover ideas:

Predator Vs. Alien (which we'll never see thanks to the project being greenlighted and redlighted so many times no one will touch it now.)

Robocop Vs. Terminator (better hurry before Arnie gets too old)

Blade Vs. Vampire Hunter D (so would this be all anime or all live action... hopefully not roger-rabbit-mixed)

Wait there's another version of RE? One that doesn't disobey the first tenet of zombie movie goodness (a zombie movie MUST be excessively needlessly pointlessly bloody graphic and chock-full of dismemberment)?

-he HOPES

under NO circumstances should a Zombie movie be rated PG-13, that's just WRONG.

I went to a midnight showing of X-men 2 the Thursday it opened. Midnight shows are always a rare crowd. The freaks... errr I mean fanatics come out to watch...

There was this one guy who tried to pull of a Hugh Jackman wolverine. He came dolled up in leather jacket jeans, white-T, complete with the wolverine gelled hair do and pork-chop side burns.

If there were any other uber-fans done up as thier favorite characters, I didn't see them. So as I watched this guy, who obviously stood out in the crowed, I couldn't help but think...

"tool"

and

"curse my inability to grow sideburns"

ok one more...

The zombies of Dawn of the Dead vs the zombies of Resident Evil set in a cabin in the middle of the forest where Ash (Bruce Campbell) (The Evil Dead series) has once again awoken the evils of the book of the dead and must with the help of Lionel (Timothy Balme) (Dead Alive) must defeat the evil.

This movie is going to have to go on my: Wait until it comes out on video, then wait until someone rents it and happens to be at the same house as me ,watching it, so I can catch glimpses of it while I do things that are more interesting and have more of a plot (like staring at a wall). Then again, I've never been a slasher fan.

personally I would like to see the smurfs VS toy story (but real bloody like)

This is the kind of movies that fans of the series begged for back in the mid 80's, but has probably come along way too late. I would hope that I'm totally wrong and that this one movie brings this kind of movie back into the "mainstream".

As long as Freddy drags his nails across something that makes them squeak, and Jason grabs a sleeping bag (with a terrified camper inside of it) and slams it into a tree, I'll be happy.

Anyone remember "Monster Squad"? That was a great team-up movie. It had all the famous classic monsters in it. I want to watch it again, but it probably won't be as good as I remember, so I'm holding off. This Freddy Vs Jason film may fall into that category as well. These guys are cool in our memory, but many of their films are cheese by today's FX standards. Let's hope the film takes advantage of current techniques!!

this movie is going to be a classic. Right up there with such great films as Mars attacks , Highway to hell, eight legged freaks, evil dead/armys of darkness,Orgasmo. the cheesier the better

hehe you forgot Braindead :D

My bets on freddy, Jason looks like pure brute power, but thats no use against freddy, since he can't be killed with pure strength (or can he?)

Slice the mofo open Fred! You got my vote! :buttrock:

The problem with Jason vs Freddy is that they aren't enemies, they really have nothing to do with eachother.
Freddy is restricted to dreams and since Jason is a zombie he doesn't dream, he's dead, sleep is beyond him.
Freddy has a zombie persona but still that seems pretty pointless.

It seems like there is a someone vs someone for every genre imaginable, including a Aliens Vs (name of superhero)
and an Aliens vs Predator vs Terminator....

What I really want to see is an original idea with a totally new villian or a totally new story that hasn't been done before.

And it's been a while since I have seen a good sci fi movie that wasn't a joke same with horror movies.

Most cool cheesie horror sci fi movies were people trying to make a good movie on a low budget. If you have the money unless it's going to be then next Men in Black, it should be totally dark, totally serious, and totally freaky with a great story and great special effects, with CG that shouldn't be to much to ask. No over the top stupid, rediculous fight scenes ie. Matrix 1&2, or any other new movie out with a fight scene.

Where are the Blade Runner, Alien, The Thing, etc of this new era?

Hell, it's the year 2003 and there isn't a movie out there that totally moves me like those did. There were a few movies that came close, Lord of the Rings was ok, Star Wars episodes I and II kinda disappointed me story wise..... People are either trying too hard to impress people and they lose out on the story or on an original idea or on not being cheesy when they were trying to be serious or trying to be cheesy when they just turned out stupid or trying to blow people away when it just turned into a bunch of bad editing and ruining the story all together.... too slow at one point too fast at another.......

What do you guys think?

I actually hated Event Horizon.... the story wasn't really explained well in the movie, there seemed to be no point to the scifi element. And I have a problem with suspension of disbelief alot of times... The ship was hovering way to close to the planet which just seemed stupid.

The way the ship was haunted was kind of stupid too, and none of the "scary" elements scared me. In fact I predicted alot of the action... usually when someone can do that it means the movie sucks. That's usually how I rate scary movies, if something unexpected but not typical happens.
