This was a fairly quick study trying to get a photo real feel. It was my first time attempting this subject matter, so please let me know what you think.

I think you can add some stars or light effects on the background to make it not so empty, and the earth (what's the name of this planet?) itself seems a little bit too dark... anyway, beautful planet!

You can't see stars from this close, I don't think. So that looks accurate to me. I dig this.

Great Job, Justin. I really love the way this came out. its got a nice, etherial feel to it.
Nope, you cannot see stars while looking at an object as bright as a planet like this, limitation of the viewable dynamic range. Look at pictures of the earth taken from the moon...we look very, very alone.
Personally, i would offset the planet a bit to one side and leave more black on an open side...its very symmetrical, but that is purely personal taste. Again, mate, great job.
