Description :

This is a project that involves controlling a real robotic arm using Maya/ MEL / Python.
The robotic arm was able to identify an object's size and position and grab it with the adequate pressure, grip size and extension, and move it to the wanted position.

It involved :
> Python image importing
> Python serial connection
> MEL image processing
> Creating an object in Maya using a captured image using MEL.
> Maya rigged simulation
> Translation Maya constrained movements into real movements.

This is great! i'm working on something similar, did you use PySerial for all the serial communications?
