was just curious if any production houses out there are using mental ray with houdini who could comment on the level of intergration with the apps.
i've used mental ray for quite a while ( though only in xsi ) and am fairly familiar with it and like, of late have i have been learning houdini and am trying to learn mantra - houdini's native renderer which is very prman-like.
mental ray and mantra are very different and was wondering if it is worth me learning mantra or simply getting mental for houdini.
is the intergration/performance worth it?
