Could that be because it's actually running at a decent resolution? TV sucks.

Keep in mind that it's also 2 years old - and they didn't update the textures for the pc version. I'd have to agree with AgentD - the tv's low resolution would make the mip-mapping and variety of the textures less noticeable when you're running at 640x480 and playing the game on your couch ten feet away from the screen.

It does suck that they probably won't be able to put in co-op.
However, It is good to hear that Gearbox hasn't screwed up on the other stuff ....

I wonder how fast it'll fun on a pc though. I mean, if the initial load times are non-existant on the pc version, and the textures and models are all the same that as the ones that they had to cram into the Xbox's 64 megs of RAM, you have to wonder why they aren't upping the polygon counts and adding more diversity to the textures :hmm: (although maybe they are; who knows).

am I the only one who thinks that Halo was an overhyped game? Sure it was fun to play, but not that fun. the level design was terribly repetitive, there were only 5 guns, and 4 bad guys, and it made no sense.

especially the last level when you had to drive your jeep 2 miles off a bridge full of obstacles. I was surprised there weren't shark tanks or exploding land mines.

besides we all know console ports suck due to the fact that consoles are designed for controllers with 6 buttons and 8mb memory cards.

But you played it on TV.. That makes it so much better.

Halo was fun... but not the "ultimate reference game" for the xbox... Unreal Championship sucked... but Yager is one great game!! Though it's not really a first person shooter...
