I´ve created a MIA material (for the first time ever) and wanted to make it transparent. No matter how far i pull the transparency slider, it simply doesnt have any effect on the objects transparency.
I´ve checked render globals for mental ray and raytrace settings (reflections and refractions up to 10).
I´ve got one light in the scene and final gather enabled. Even tried global illumination for tests, but no transparency. Everything else seems to work fine though.

does anybody have experience with this MIA shader?

problem solved....its been sthg totally different.
the objects inside my transparent glassphere were set to not be visible in refractions which made them practically invisible. the MIA shader has been transparent all the time.
