first of all im working in maya.
I'm getting a problem with my blendshapes where the blendshapes are getting deformed by rotating the joints of the head. the face geometry does not change at all as I rotate the head, but the blendshapes do.
Im pretty sure its not a weighting issue because it is happening in areas that are all flooded to the same joint. It behaves as it a cluster has influence over certain vertices and it doesn't rotate with the rest of the geometry.
If the head joint is not rotated it appears as if nothing is wrong, but if it gets rotated It throws off all of my blendshapes, the blink goes sideways instead of going up and down.
Anyone seen this problem?
one thing that i noticed that was kinda weird is that the blendshape targets had their rotate and scale attributes locked when they were added.
Could this be causing it? and how would i go about fixing it without losing all my work.
