Sweet now cinema has some really powerful landscaping stuff.

with that and FBX there are not to many holes left to fill.

No, Ozone has nothing to do with landscaping--Its a volumetric atmosphere plugin.

I took a look at it, just applying the default atmoshperes to a simple scene and it looks like the full volumetric scene renders faster than the post effect. It renders fast... and i'm on a slow (400 mhz) Mac.

It's a bit like Taiki for Cinema, but without the landscapes.

Vue D'Esprit does have those features (but with better vegetation and a faster renderer).

However, Ozone is not Vue D'Esprit, but rather just a plugin version of the atmosphere system from Vue D'Esprit.

the atmospherics and skys in bryce is what i love about the program...so will have to check out how ozone compares in cinema...

can it be animated...or have you gotta bake it like particles?

You will probably like Vue's atmospherics, then. Since Ozone uses the same rendering engine, I would expect Ozone's atmospherics to be of rather high quality.

It is animatable, though the reasons that you need to bake
particles are likely to still apply.

cool thanks notice c4d plugin is cheaper than lightwaves...heh heh.
still on the steep side considering the plugin for vue is was down in cost...:bounce:

i guess its how much of this work you do...and in terms of power looks are what counts as with speed and ease of use which all seem up there...so maybe its not that expensive after all...c4d and lightwave plugs seem expensive in relation to vue users.

dunno think i might give the demo a whirl.

downloaded andtried the demo plugin for Ozone 2.0.

It absolutely rocks........

In the time it could have taken me to create an outdorr scenery and set up all the lights, Ozone 2.0 did the job in an instant. This is definitely going on my next shopping list.
