Hey there, I'd like to see how you draw traditionally - check out the work of Anthony Ryder:
www.tonyryder.com
I think what your digital pieces need is more form and structure, and Ryder is a great starting place for that. Additionally you are welcome to post a thread to the Personal Sketchbook area, where most critique of WIP occurs. :)

Hi Elizabeth! Welcome! great start.. that bridge painting shows a good sense of color. As far as human figures go, I think you would benefit greatly from watching the Vilppu instructional DVDs if you can get them.

hehe i really like the vamp version, think you did good job on the mouth :)
Have you heard of Loomis?
You can find a link to some of his books on the forum somewhere (you should find it if you use the search function), which are public domain so there are no copyright issues.
I hope you will read the text if you download them and not just copy the sketches. This way you will learn a great deal and pretty quickly too.
It's great to see that you experiment with color in your work, but I would suggest to concentrate on values first. Think about depicting form with value and how that can be done.
Have fun!

hi
some of your ideas look quite appealing, but it lacks the proper execution.
generally, your values are too bright, and you concentrate too much on the details.
i think the last 2 pics look very promising.
i can imagine that youre very proud of the wings (looks extremely time consuming) , but i suggest you getting the values right. theyre way too bright. its a nightscene, so values like that are impossible. you can improve your pics drastically by correctiing the values.
i agree with nr 43 ... get loomis' books. theyre very helpful!

Thank you shapemaster , i agree whit you on that to much details. it might make it look to stiff . And i will keep in mind the values, that it looks very bright and i will try make it darker.
I really appricate your taking the time to look on my picture and tell what can be donne better. Thank you very much. One sometimes get blind in a way and might not notice or sees what can be donne better so always great to get some hints from other. I see there is a lack of mood in the angel picture, looks to stiff and as you say to bright . When i now look back on the other picture ive been drawing here, i see there is some wrong whit the faces ive made, theyr lips and eyes haha And the thigh on the angel is way to long .The lycan got one finger to much Rofl :D

Hi, I love your ideas, and some of the details are impressive, like the castle, but I also agree with what Shapemaster said.
I think you may find Stahlberg's paintover thread (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=199&t=359226&page=1&pp=15) insightful in finding areas you can improve on. His overpaints amaze me every time I look at them. I know it is a long thread, but go through it at your own pace, and pay close attention to the way he mutes oversaturated/bright colors and tones down details. You will see it happening over and over again, and his overpaints come out looking much more balanced than the originals.

Hi Elisabeth, you have some great concepts here. Here's a site that links to the Loomis books, that NR43 mentioned:
http://www.artcone.com/forum/andrew_loomis_books_downloads-t1772.html
These books have heaps of helpful and useful information, and you can dowload them here for free. They show you things like how to get facial features in the right place and if you take some time to study them you could push your artwork to a whole new level.
