View Full Version : Viewport: Whats this thingy?

Hello,

Im just following a tutorial on organic modelling for broadcasting and somewhere along the lines i have managed to get this gizmo/helper/tool (see attachment) to appear, but i have no idea why and where it came from! If anyone can unlock this mystery i would be most grateful.

Are you talking about the grid snap or the attribute that says circle2?

If you are talking about the snap then look at your main toolbar and look for an icon that looks like a magnet with a 3 in the corner. This is your snaps toggle, you can right click on it to set different type of snaps. This is a very useful tool I would suggest pressing F1 and doing a search on snaps.

The attribute that says circle2 is just a text box that appears if you leave your pointer over an object long enough and all it is doing is telling you the name of the object.

Thank you leonec, it was the snap tool, which i am now using. :)
