Maybe that you want to emphasize the contrast between the colored plant and the b&w background, but to me it looks like the background is unfinished..You could keep it subtle and grey dusty but I'd like it much better with at least some colors..
But then again, that's only me.

nice, but I agree with maxmare, the background looks a bit unfinished, but nice anyways...

Looks pretty good but a dead plant would make the image look more "deserted". The texutring on the walls and the shelves is good, however I would suggest making the shelves look more like wood instead of plaster.

really nice scene. But seem that the switch have the same texture that the wall ?! strange isn't it ?

thanks for all the comments
demilliac: it only looks like that since itīs black and white but they have two different materials! I promise :D
The house is deserted but life can survive everywhere that was my idea
unlevel: (from eeye.us???) also read maxmare
maxmare: well I wanted only the plant and pot to be in color, it was just a goofy idea but I want to keep it like that. Maybe Iīll work more on it and make everything b&w consider it finished for now :D

I really like what you've done here...
However,
I feel that the pot/plant should be desaturated a bit... It seems to me that the plant may be the least interesting thing in the picture, but its super-sat look makes a false bid for our attention.
I wanna know what's in the dresser -- has an animal made its home there? Maybe not so deserted.. The corner on that wall is fantastic! And that dark thing on the top of the dresser... what is that? I don't know, but that's how real life is. I think the light on the candle could transition a little softer... it doesn't look rounded, it looks odd.
Overall, I really like this. Except for that damn plant. Rough it up, tone it down, or throw it out!
Wilt the thing to shriveled gnarly fingers, maybe... I think a lot of us can relate to a dead or dying plant in a pot. There's feeling and story there!

Nice ambient and lighting work, only one thing, I would put more specular level in plant material, it,s too difuse.
