Hi all,

I have been having a problem with 3DS Max for a month or so now, and I have no idea how it happened. The problem (although minor it is very annoying) is that every time I move, rotate, or zoom the perspective camera, all objects turn into wireframe boxes. Also, sometimes when I hover my mouse over an object, it will temporarily convert to wireframe. I remember from years ago that this feature is designed for slow computers (Poser had a simular feature) but I can not figure out how to fix it and don't even know what to search for to find the answer. Everything I have found is set to smooth + Highlights, but there must be another hidden option somewhere. Any answers? THANKS!

Hit the 'o' key. If you haven't remapped this shortcut then that should do it for you; the command is called 'degradation override' if you'd like to look it up in the docs:)

whoa, fastest responses I've ever gotten :applause: ! The 'O' key fixed the problem instantly, and I've gone weeks searching for an answer with no luck. Thank you guys very very much!

It almost brings me to tears to hear someone going for that long with that simple a problem :).

That O key needs some serious UI-research if it was up to me. It's been asked a million times.
