I like my renders so far, but I am lacking something...

Like the title states...what does my explosion need?

It is suppose to be a scoreboard that gets struck by lightning in a hockey rink:

oh I see your using the max bomb.
Yeah you can spot that from a mile away and that's your problem.

I'd break the chunks manualy and use reactor.
Also I'd tone down the blueish glow on the particles.
perhapse have some sparks falling with the desbree and smoke trailing as well.

Nice work though. :hmm:

Custom chunks, smoke, yellow sparks. Let the smoke rise while the debris falls. Bonus points if the secondary shockwave affects the smoke.

Yeah. Definitely-- no way a screen splits into two tris sheering neatly down the middle like that, and then falls with so little rotation.
Also, when deprived of power, such as by having exploded, a jumbotron screen will go dark, rather than continue to emit its final image.

Still, again, nicely done.

need stuff inside. Like pieces falling.

Also more of a light flash. I mean if it explodes there should be like you know light.

but i think if you add sound to the existing one it'll be great.
