Hi all, I have a little problem with the script...

I have to align a object to the first bone in a IK Chain!!

What I did was this:

1. Created 3 bones and put on the IK-HI Solver.
2. Createde a teapot object.
3. moved the IK solver around a couple of times...

Then in the Maxscript Listner I typed:

$teapot.rotation = $Bone1.rotation

same for position

...this doesn't work!!!! ...what do I do wrong ????

First of all, the default names would be Teapot01 and Bone01.

Then, you should copy the complete transformation matrix to avoid any confusion, coordinate system issues etc.

$Teapot01.transform = $Bone01.transform

Works even in gMax! ;)

Hope this helps.

Thanks THX.. superfast also :-D

hehe also found a work around, in the meantime:

Create a dummy and constraint it to the bone. Use the Dummy coordinates on the Teapot. :-)

But Boboman aaalways got the best (and farstest : )

Thanks alot! :bounce: :buttrock: :applause:
