Title: Boston Townhouse
Name: Brent Rodenhiser
Country: Canada
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

I worked on this image for 2 weeks on and off in the evenings.
It`s my second interior render and wanted to stay away from the usual vray interiors, although very nice they always seemed rather sterile to me.I wanted to convey a space that was elegant to some degree but at the same time inviting to the viewer.
3dsmax used for modelling,Vray for render[no GI used just a few plane lights and some default max omni`s to use with a few default Max shaders, photoshop used for curves.
Thanks for viewing.

Very nice shot, I love the attention to little details like the dirty windows and the different sized frames. I'm a huge fan of imperfections and this image adds them perfectly.

It could only have been made better in my opinion if you had put a few cracks in the paint in corners, some scratches on the floor and maybe some tiny indications of wear on the chair.

But over all...beautiful.

Hi,thanks for the comments.I had a scratch map on the floor but I found it didn`t show up with this light setup.I find that adding dirt to an image gives it character.
However looking back at this image I find now that the table legs look like plastic...:(
incorrect specular level I guess..
thanks again
