View Full Version : Gooch Shader for Maya 2008?
jpiette 04-07-2008, 06:19 PM I purchased Maya 2008 several months ago, and I'm now working on something that involves toon shading. I don't like Maya's default toon shader, so I've been using a different MEL-driven one, but I can't get those nice crisp black outlines (Maya's paintFX outlines are sadly underdeveloped). Recently I read up on the Gooch Shader (http://www.cs.utah.edu/%7Egooch/SIG98/gooch98.pdf) and I've been dying to take it for a spin. The only problem is that they only developed it up to Maya 8.5. Does anyone know if there will be a Gooch shader for Maya 2008?
