bingo7 05-11-2003, 11:09 AM Hello :wavey: :wavey:
Here I am with my new work.... just at the beginning, but I hope to work on it as much as possible.
This is the cockpit... I started actually 2 objects, the other one is the car itself.
Please C&C!!! I need them to try to correct some stuff, and I need some more experience.....

It looks like you are going to have a massive poly count, do all of the bolts need modeling. I would have done them in the texture.
Also be carefull when bollean out holes, the back plate is going to end up as a very strange poly, try knifing around the hole, then subtracting from that.

Thanks Rei... I'll keep in consideration what you said. At the moment I'm not so worried about the poligon count, but if it get really big, I'll certenlly gonna switch to bump maps... it's just to get some feedback....
Ciao an see yaaa on my next update

Very nice, it is coming along really well. It is always good to have more detail. It should look really awesome when you are finished.

Dunno, since I don't even know what car this is
But I can see that the mesh is nice and smooth...

MMMMMMMMMM:annoyed:
nobody replying.... that means that the object is so bad!??!?!??!
I know its not so perfect, that's why I need some feedback to go on with the work...
I'll post a image of the real one, maybe that will help...

This is coming on really well!!!
it might help if you post some shots of the real thing,
also the bright red is a bit much, it makes it quite hard to evaluate, i would stick with a the default grey or a softer colour for now :)
very nice model, you've managed to keep the mesh really smooth!
don't stop modeling it though, it would be a real shame to stop now!
Cheers,
Will

I tried a render with all surface set to a neutral grey.....
Looks very cool like this...:bounce:
Thanks Unknown Limit!!!! Very good tip, I was trying to give some surface attributes, just because I did'nt want to get crazy after.....
BTW I also started the wheels, just to get an overall shape..

Hi to all, I'm back with some bad news, I have to remove the images from the provider... I does'nt want me to have them on the server.. cause he's exceeding the band limit... If anybody knows a place where I can store them.... I'd apreciate if they can give me an address, otherwise the links will be down... I am very sorry for that!
Cristian
PS. try to keep that in mind when you post something here!!!

Aw, I feel sorry for you...
Well the most reliable way of posting the picture is either to make the image smaller, or compress to decrease the quality, so that you can attach it onto the post. Since it's not the final copy as yet, it should be enough. :)
