I couldn't find anything via google or scriptspot (don't quite know what words to use either).

is there a script or modifier that helps you keep the symetryline verts at 0 x?

I can't help wasting time tidying them up all the time so.. :1

I have attached a macroScript I wrote a while ago that should do the trick. It includes 4 macros for straightening the current selection along the X or Y or Z axis, just like the buttons in the editable poly modifier panel which you can't assign to shortcuts or quads!?! And the set x pos to 0 function you were looking for.

Only works with editable polygon objects!
