With the current low prices of Maya Software, I am seriously considering of changing over to the software. Currently I am a Max user and have been since Max 1.

However before I make my decision, the software needs to be evaluated to my requirements. I'm not questioning the capability of Maya as it speaks for itself, but I more concerned with the learning curve of the program. How did Max user find the transformation to Maya? and how quick were you able to pick up the skills to produce work to your standard?

The other question that I am concerned with, is how effective Maya Complete is in handling character animations. How would you compare the character animation tools in Maya Complete compared with Character Studio?

Any comments or feedback about the pros and cons of changing to Maya from Max will be most appreciated.

Thanks
