I really wanted to begin with digital art so i began with photoshop, but then i saw this program: Corel Painter X..... and i serached about it...and i liked a lot......so i instaled on my pc...but gess what a problem apeared....

i run the aplication and all i see is something like this:

So there's nothing i can draw...... all the other options stay like gray.....i Have instaled the update... i work on vista......is there anything i can do to make it work?

The Welcome screen works through IE 5 or later, and I believe Firefox and Safari. Are you up to date on your browser? I believe you have a browser problem as far as it concerns Painter. It's the Welcome screen that's showing up blank.

it actually shouldn't be a problem. Did you try hitting the Esc btn.

I'm not enough up on the Browser/Painter interaction to send the definitive fix. A work around though, is to associate an image to Painter with Windows and double clicking it. This will open Painter without the Welcome screen.

Do you happen to have an Epson printer installed as your default printer? If so, change your default printer and the Welcome Book should appear.

Thank You Very much, I took my Epson printer off as my default printer and that fixed my problem! YEAH!
