Sorry to the Admins in advance...I posted in Dynamics, but thought I might get more attention here.

Just curious if anyone has been able to get Syflex to run on Maya 5. I'm thinking about buying it, but I need to use it now (no time to wait for upgrade). Would it be possible to do the dynamics calculations in 4.5, and then export the animation (baked) to 5 for rendering and so forth? Would this make a rediculous number of keyframes like baking other dynamics does? What is the process I should use here?

I have to render in 5 (mac)

I don't have Syflex, but I've read somewhere that Maya 5's cloth is almost as fast as Syflex cloth and more featured. Maybe as a another alternative if it doesn't work when export Syflex from 4.5 to 5.0, you can save money and go native cloth.

I doubt Maya Cloth 5.0 is better than Syflex.

I find maya cloth works great
you just need to build it right with panels and its great.
sorry you cant get it yet
I think theres a script on highend3d that bakes vert positions/animation into the scene
